Both Clintons appeared separately before lawmakers last week and denied any prior knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activities. While neither has been accused of wrongdoing by Epstein’s victims, Bill Clinton’s name appears in investigative files related to the late sex offender, including photographs, prompting calls for the depositions.
Hillary Clinton Nearly Walks Out
One of the most dramatic moments in the footage shows Hillary Clinton reacting angrily after learning that a photo taken inside the deposition room had been leaked to the public.
Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert admitted she had taken and shared a photo before the hearing began, which was later circulated on social media by a conservative influencer.
Clinton struck the table with her fist and said, “I’m done with this. If you guys are doing that, I am done. You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home.”
The hearing was briefly paused, and upon reconvening, her lawyer criticised the committee, calling the leak “unacceptable, unprofessional and unfair.”
Clinton’s legal team also noted that she had requested an open hearing, which would have allowed the public to watch in real time, but the committee declined.
Questions About ‘Pizzagate’ and UFO Files
During the lengthy session, Congresswoman Boebert raised questions about “Pizzagate” — a widely debunked conspiracy theory alleging a child trafficking ring linked to Clinton associates operating out of a Washington DC pizzeria.
Hillary Clinton appeared visibly perplexed and responded firmly: “Pizzagate was totally made up. It was an outrageous allegation that ended up hurting a number of people. I can’t believe you’re even referencing it.”
Another Republican lawmaker, Eric Burlison, shifted to lighter questions, bringing up government files related to UFOs and noting that President Donald Trump recently directed agencies to prepare the release of documents concerning unidentified aerial phenomena.
Clinton responded that she supports transparency, saying, “I think whatever can be disclosed should be disclosed.”
Bill Clinton on Trump and Epstein
In his deposition, Bill Clinton was asked whether Donald Trump should also be compelled to testify. “That’s for you to decide,” he replied, adding, “But he did know him well.”
Clinton recounted a conversation with Trump around 2002 or 2003 at Trump’s golf course during a fundraiser. According to Clinton, Trump said he and Epstein had once been friends but had a falling out over a real estate deal. Clinton emphasised that Trump did not suggest anything improper during that conversation.
The ‘Hot Tub’ Photo
Lawmakers questioned Bill Clinton about a photograph released by the US Justice Department as part of the Epstein files. The image shows Clinton sitting in a hot tub at a hotel, alongside another individual whose face was redacted.
Clinton said the photo was likely taken in Brunei during a lengthy Asia trip. He explained that he had been invited to stay at a hotel by the Sultan of Brunei and briefly used the pool facilities.
“I sat in the hot tub for five minutes, or whatever it was, and I got up and went to bed,” Clinton said. When asked about the identity of the other person in the photo, he stated twice: “I don’t know who that is.”
He firmly denied that any sexual activity occurred.

Other released photos appear to have been taken at the same location and include images of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking.
‘I Did Not Witness Epstein’s Crimes’
In his opening remarks, Bill Clinton stated that he was only a “brief acquaintance” of Epstein and that their relationship ended years before Epstein’s crimes came to light.
He expressed sympathy for the victims and said he hopes greater transparency will help prevent similar abuses in the future.
When asked whether Trump should pardon Maxwell, Clinton declined to comment, saying the matter should be decided by others. However, he added that what Maxwell did was “terrible” and that she should be punished.
Although Justice Department documents do not show direct communications between Clinton and Epstein, emails between Maxwell and Clinton’s former aide Doug Band from 2002 to 2004 reveal a friendly relationship that included flirtatious language.
The release of the video testimony has reignited political debate in Washington and once again brought the Epstein scandal into the spotlight.
