Durga Puja: A Pledge of Harmony, a Question of Security
Durga Puja: A Pledge of Harmony, a Question of Security Autumn’s white clouds, swaying kash flowers and the beat of the dhak herald the return…
OTN Bangla Desk: An introduction can lead to a new customer, a conversation can spark a business partnership, and advice from an experienced professional can help a new venture take shape. Recognising the value of these relationships, the Victorian Bangladeshi Community Foundation (VBCF) is organising a special networking event to strengthen connections among Bangladeshi business owners and professionals in Australia.
The VBCF Business Networking Event 2026 will take place on Monday, 19 October 2026, at Holiday Inn in Werribee, Victoria. The event will run from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm at 22 Synnot Street, Werribee, VIC 3030. Tickets cost AUD $50 per person.
Under the theme “Connect. Collaborate. Grow Together.”, the evening aims to bring together business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, investors, mentors and emerging leaders. According to the organisers, it will introduce a new initiative designed to encourage stronger connections and collaboration within the Bangladeshi business community across Victoria and Australia.
Finding reliable suppliers, entering new markets, accessing practical advice and meeting potential partners are important steps in building a business. VBCF hopes to create a setting where participants can discuss their experiences and challenges while exploring new opportunities.
The evening will provide opportunities for people from different industries to meet, exchange referrals and discuss partnerships and joint ventures. Participants will be able to introduce their businesses and services while learning about products and expertise offered by other Bangladeshi-owned enterprises. Connecting young entrepreneurs and emerging professionals with experienced business leaders is another key objective.
A central feature of the event will be the introduction of the Australian Bangladeshi Business Directory. According to VBCF, the proposed directory will provide a central platform through which Bangladeshi-owned businesses and professionals can be discovered, connected and supported.
Participating businesses will have the opportunity to be listed as verified businesses, helping improve their visibility and making it easier for potential customers, partners and community members to find and engage with them.
The directory aims to help users discover businesses and professional services, identify potential suppliers and partners, exchange referrals, and explore collaboration and investment opportunities. It will also seek to connect new entrepreneurs with experienced professionals and mentors.
The event is open to anyone interested in engaging with the Bangladeshi business community, from small business owners and representatives of established companies to first-time entrepreneurs and experienced executives. Investors, young professionals and community members who wish to support Bangladeshi-owned businesses are also invited to attend. Participants are encouraged to bring a business partner, colleague, friend or fellow entrepreneur.
Two sponsorship packages will be available for businesses seeking greater exposure at the event. A $200 package includes placement of a business pull-up banner and one event ticket. A $500 package includes a dedicated promotional table in the hotel foyer, two event tickets and space to display promotional materials, allowing businesses to discuss their products, services and expertise directly with attendees.
VBCF sees the evening as the beginning of a broader initiative. Through VBCF Business Connect, it plans to develop networking opportunities alongside workshops, seminars, business expos and mentoring activities. The aim is to establish an ongoing platform where business owners and professionals can exchange knowledge, experience and opportunities.
By encouraging participation and collaboration, VBCF hopes the Werribee gathering will lay the groundwork for lasting business relationships and a more connected Bangladeshi business community in Australia.
